Baccarat Tips Every player should know
- Always remember that baccarat is a game of chance. There is little, if any, skill involved.
- Like in any casino gambling game, make sure you set winning and losing limits when playing baccarat. Don't play more than you can afford to lose (always a good rule of thumb).
- Don't waste time learning the third-card rules at the casino where you're gambling. They are set and done automatically by the casino.
- Avoid betting on ties continuously. There's a reason why they pay 8:1 - they don't happen very often.
- Systems don't work - they're based on odds and the card decks don't follow statistics.
- Don't skip betting on the bank because the casinos deduct a 5 percent commission. The reason for this commission is because the bank wins more than the player.
- Don't bother with the scorecards at casinos. They are based on statistics and, like systems, don't work. Think about it: would the casino really pass out something that would help them lose money?
